Hamburg/Hong Kong, 09.01.2008 – Seit zwei Jahren ist das Hamburger Softwarehaus SYSVISION erfolgreich in Hong Kong und China tätig. Die Gründung der fern-östlichen Niederlassung erfolgte im Dezember 2005 durch den Geschäftsführer und gebürtigen Hamburger Mathias Conradt.

SYSVISION entwickelt individuelle Enterprise Management Software und betreut Kunden aus Shanghai, Hong Kong, Guangzhou und Dubai. Zu den wichtigsten Referenzkunden gehören Bayer MaterialScience (HK), Bayer HealthCare (HK), ICD Security (Shanghai), GDCN (China Telecom Datacentre, GZ), Adidas (HK).

“Die Zielgruppe sind insbesondere deutsche und westliche Firmen in Hong Kong und Süd-China, die einen IT-Dienstleister mit hohem Qualitätsbewusstsein, hohem Expertenwissen und ähnlicher Arbeitskultur schätzen.”, so Mathias Conradt. “Wir definieren uns im chinesischen Markt nicht über den Preis, sondern über Qualitaet und Kompetenz – die schlagenden Argumente um sich gegen lokale Anbieter durchzusetzen.”

Mit dem Sales-Office in Hong Kong und dem Entwicklungsteam in der 12-Millionen-Einwohner zählenden Metropole Guangzhou (Kanton) ergibt sich eine optimale Kombination für Vertrieb und Entwicklung. Im Gegensatz zu Peking und Shanghai, von den Lohnkosten her die beiden teuersten Metropolen Chinas, liegen die Kosten für IT-Entwickler in Guangzhou deutlich niedriger.

Das Entwicklerteam besteht aus lokalen Chinesen mit fliessenden Englischkenntnissen, die technologischen Schwerpunkte liegen in den Java-Technologien sowie in Open Source und Freier Software. Fuer die Firma Bayer realisierte SYSVISION beispielsweise die Migration mehrerer Intranetprojekte auf das Open Source Content-Management-System OpenCms. Auch die in Guangzhou ansässige Firma GDCN, ein Datacenter der China Telecom, griff auf das Spezialwissen von SYSVISION zurück und liess Ihre Entwickler 10 Tage lang auf OpenCms schulen.

SYSVISION startete sein China-Geschäft 2005 ohne vorhandene Business-Kontakte im Markt, somit diente das erste Jahr als Orientierungsphase und dem Aufbau allgemeiner Geschäftskontakte und Kundenstamm. Für das zweite Jahr kann eine erste erfolgreiche Bilanz gezogen werden – so konnte das Team aufgebaut und namhafte Kunden gewonnen werden. Für das Jahr 2008 stehen somit die Zeichen auf Wachstum und Stabilisierung.

The Guangzhou (South China) based software company SYSVISION is holding a 10-days technical training on OpenCms for a telecom company in Guangdong.
SYSVISION is training a developer team of five Java developers, showing how to execute an OpenCms project successfully, from template building, creating a good site/folder structure to build multilingual websites, using the OpenCms tag library and customizing the OpenCms core code to extend the workplace to individual needs. The training is being held in English and Chinese.

SYSVISION is a solution provider for the open source content management system OpenCms, serving clients in Germany, China, Hong Kong and also from Dubai.
We provide OpenCms hosting in Germany and Singapore, China, Hong Kong.

Working with OpenCms during the last four years, we have developed useful extensions and add-ons.

Newsletter module:
the newsletter module allows to send newsletter in html as well as text format from within OpenCms and to users that have subscribed trough the website and are then managed in the Administration View / Account Management as Web Users.
The administrator can check certain news items to be included in the newsletter and then compile and send the newsletter through the administration interface.
Optionally, if the client uses an external newsletter system, it is possible to generate the html code for a newsletter, including replacement of relative to absolute paths.

Registration form and csv/excel-export through email and for download:
Users who register on the website to be able to log into restricted areas will be stored with their additional information in a separate table in the MySql database.
This list of registered users can be exported as csv (comma separated values) file or Excel file and then be downloaded or automatically being send to a predefined recipient through the OpenCms Administration view. A custom panel is created for such user management.

News Archivator
Often is it required to move old news from a news folder into an archive folder. This can be tiring if doing it manually. Our news archivator moves the news items automatically through a scheduled tasks that is being executed in a predefined time interval.

Greeting card module:
The user can choose a greeting card from a set of different motives and personalize and send it to his/her beloved. This is always a nice feature to add user-interaction to your website or portal.

Last night was the international summer beach party, organized by the British Chamber of Commerce, in Guangzhou. It wasn’t actually at the Beach, but the dress code and flair has been made alike. With free flow of beer, buffet and water balloon fight.
